Lightening Up on the Electronics While Traveling! Comment

Thanks to the tablet, which is basically a hybridization of the laptop and the smartphone, we can really lighten up when it comes to taking electronic devices along with us, whether we're just out and about or actually traveling. Unless you really need all that your laptop allows you to do, the tablet will see you through and it is even more easily portable. It also makes it easier to see maps or read messages than your smartphone screen which, however big, let's face it, is still rather small for certain uses. You can also use it to listen to your music. As this video about the Samsung Galaxy Tab shows, a tablet can handle so many practical and pleasurable functions that enhance a trip.

My best friend raved about how his tablet worked out so well in so many ways on his last trip. He used it to stay in touch with his family with video calling, or videotelephony, he took photos and videos of places he saw, wrote his notes about what he experienced, and shared as much of all that as he wanted with whomever he wanted…all from the same device! At night, he even stood it up and watched a movie on it. He said he liked the way it can be stood up and when he got home, he bought a keyboard for it, so he can write on it, while sitting back on the sofa as it's standing up on the coffee table. How's that for all-purpose? It's really amazing how much is packed into lighter and smaller devices.
